Day 1: Planning (9 more days before fashion show) If you're going to do a fashion show and you've never done one before and you are a procrastinator, then Listen! Saying "I'm going to have a fashion show takes you nowhere, I repeated NO-WHERE! you need to get that planted into your head or you will never succeed. Stop telling yourself how fabulous you're fashion show will be and tell yourself-"How in the world, I'm I going to get this done. Well my friend, we are in the same situation. I am a procrastinator, who will do nothing till the last minute, in which I am left sweating buckets, panicking, anxiety, angry at myself and everyone around me. That being my cousin. "hehehe, told you, you won't get it done, that's what happens when you procrastinate." in my mind I'm saying, ' silence, you insignificant fool. I WILL GET IT DONE!" which is clearly a lie, because I been trying to actually accomplish a fashion show.-result- Nothing T_T* This goes with anything you're trying to accomplish. Okay, YOU-Let's get started. ask yourself these few questions: Who am I? seriously, ask yourself who you are, because if you don't know yourself, how do you exspect anyone else to know you, huh? What am I capable of? this is like asking yourself, How much do I really want this? you need to know, because if you are an unsociable person, who would be afraid of sharing your idea with people, or too shy to go out and look for models and staff to volunteer or work for extremely little pay, then think in your creative or logical mind on how you will go about reaching these people, because those people are key to your fashion show. No models, who's gonna wear your clothes, no staff-"what you're going to put up all the decorations, do the lighting, the music, the tickets, cleaning up and so on by your self, I don't think so. If you truly find it impossible to leave you're bubble, then get a friend that's outgoing and ask them to do it instead. That's what I would do and should do, great idea me. What is my limitation? what are you afraid of revealing about yourself to people, because who you are or the personalities of your character show in everything you do, including your work, so which ever idea you come up with for your show, need to illustrate who you are as a person. You need to know what you will and won't do, before you act on impulse like moi and blow the who deal. look my friend, you never want to be too impulsive in the beginning, like I always am. There's a difference before ambition and impulse and you need to know those differences. who is your audience? Honestly this is more important as a business person then anything else. This is where you make your dough, mola, ching ching, bing bing, money! If you are sure of yourself, then you will be sure of your audiences. Put yourself in the place of your audiences. What are your desire, interest, motivation, entertainment, walls "not actual walls, and what makes you bored? Once you understand what these answers are then, place these information about yourself, into your audience. Remember your happiness comes first before your audience even though it might seem that your audience come first, they really don't. If you are not happy what what you're doing and you do not feel accomplished then no matter what other say, there will always be an empty space, called the could have been feeling. You never want to have the could have been feeling, it sucks, literally. Finally, but not last, is what is you idea and how much will it cost and not cost to achieve it? Take a little notebook or pad everywhere you go and whatever idea pops in your head, write or stretch it down, when you feel that you can put something together with those idea, write a draft and look up things you will need for your idea. Fabric, scenery, models, staff, shoes, hair, make-up, venue, location, time, date...etc. Make sure to make of list of these cost and see if you can afford it, if you honestly know you can't and you have no source of investment or sponsorship, like Linkin, YouTube, FaceBook, Twitter, Chatango, then change your idea. It's probably not worth it. START STRETCHING YOUR FASHION DESIGNS OR WHATEVER IDEA YOU ARE WORKING ON. Next time we'll talk about design, buying fabric, advertising and more!
